Let the pain pills do their thing last night, but went back to work because I can still stand on my feet today, not hunched over.. I have lived with constant pain for the past 41 years, but when this hits,it is like no other pain I have had.I think of German torture methods... Still have the pain, but am able to move some..
I returned to work today because I need the hours to pay for the higher utilities we will have when I turn the furnace back on for the winter months. I thought we were all prepared for the season: We both got oil changes, antifreeze, under-the-hood-checkups, cleaned windows indoors and out, did the leaves, got grill and summer things in shed and locked up. I got my dental, eye and flu shot. got all bills paid up till the next ones come flying into my mailbox and dad's...
Last night DD and I heard a loud crack/bang outdoors after dinner. She looked outback near our deck and there was a35 foot high tree on the ground TEN FEET FROM OUR HOUSE! It is a tree from the railroad property that fell across my chain link fence and down in our yard,,,
Another ten feet east of that and it would have landed in our bedrooms! Very scary!
I just called the railroad office near here and by sheer luck, I got the right place. The men were very nice and had already been spraying markers on the trees last week to be chopped down. They will come out MOnday,I will probably be at work anyway, but DD will be home.
Today after work we ran errands for a couple hours yet again.. first to bank to do my mom's banking, then on to my credit union, then on to Walgreens for essentials, including sanitizer gel. Then to my eye doc to order a new pair of specs.. I had the whole gamut of tests last month and my Rx did not change, BUT I am dropping my eye coverage in January to save money and because it is duplicating coverage I already have with Delta Dental for my teeth. OFS is what go t me to do that.. I want to get glasses while I can and hope they both hold out until I retire in 2018.
We then hit the road and went on to Menards to return the furnace filter I wrongly purchased two days ago. I got the longer one and came home and installed it. Except for that darned tree, I should be set for winter, (she crosses her fingers and legs, rolls her eyes)
