I've been drinking more water and "surprise, surprise," it helps!!! As does the "trick" of loading up on vegetables and fruit! Last year I put on 15 pounds over the winter and I really, really, REALLY want to avoid that because it took the entire year to lose them so I'm hoping mindfulness will help too!

I am not a huge fan of cakes or pies so that helps me out a lot.....although just this year I have been more apt to eating sweets. I dont know what that is all about LOL. But, I am going to take everyones advice and tips here to see if I can overcome temptation this year!! Happy Holidays Sparkfriends!!!

I make sure I only eat what I truly like and exchange lighter items for those that don't matter. Pumpkin custard /pudding to me is better then pumpkin pie. Keep those hands busy if you are on the move how about some small hand work projects that you need to finish my Christmas. Life is always better with a purpose. emoticon

I try to find out what holiday foods will be at the holiday gatherings and plan my meal in advance. If I don't know what will be there I make something to bring that Is yummy and on track! I usually have a cookie for dessert instead of pies etc. It is my favorite for the holidays and less calories hehe! Thanks for the awesome post!!

I move away from the buffet table of snacks by heading into the other room and talking to the people who are there. Keeps me from "picking" standing in front of the snack table. emoticon

Waiting on other people, doing a lot of talking and making sure my glass is always filled with water are my get through the holiday tricks. I also make sure there are healthy things to eat even if others don't like them. It's important to me that my dish be full like everyone's so I don't feel that 'poor me' feeling even if it's just veggies.
