Ready for a change (again)!!

Friday, November 01, 2013

I guess it's time that I start to blog. I've been on SP a few years now, but was reluctant to blog. Fears of facing the truth? Maybe. I'll start with simple thoughts. Nothing too deep.

I have lost 48 lbs in the past, but have gained it all back. Now don't start tearing up...I'm ready for a re-do! As everyone knows, it's hard to stay motivated to lose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle, especially if there's no one in your family with similar goals. That is why I joined SP to begin with. I love the motivation that I get from all of you. I'm back and enjoy reading everyones blog.

Hopefully, blogging will keep me accountable. I do have to admit I put a timer on when I am on SP, because I will get out of control and not get my workouts in if I don't. Gotta go...the dreadmill is calling my name....!

Great blog and it shows some really great insights into what motivates you!

Remember, motivations can be positive TOWARD motivation as in "I want to be able to button my pants." or it can be "away from" motivation as in " I don't want to feel like crap any more."

You might check out IOWL Team.

Inside Out Weight Loss (IOWL) is based around overcoming those "internal" issues that stop us from achieving our goals (weight loss or otherwise!!)

The team is quiet, but you will find links to free podcasts by Renee Stephens there a wealth of information on past threads and members always ready to "support and be supported" when needed.

It has been a great help for me - although I have been listening for years and making incremental changes...for whatever reason, this year is the year that it seems to all be "falling into place" so to speak!!

Go figure! I'm glad I did not give up!!

Remember:

“Change takes time. It takes time for the seeds to begin growing within, time to understand the process, time for the growth to mature, and time for the old self to die and fall away.” -Bryant McGill

Have a great day and keep ...

You can do it! BTW, I live near Waukesha - if you want to run together or are doing any races, maybe we can meet. :)
