Halloween as become quite the occasion, hasn't it?
Full range of emotions from funny
to right down evil
A couple days ago I watched a youtube video about a couple who, on a dare, went through the haunted house that had been set up at one of the big theme parks. A camera recorded the whole thing. At first they were laughing, but that soon changed. Some parts really were absolutely frightening . . . terrorizing . . . so much so that one of them just froze and couldn't even move to run away.
I've been thinking about fear, and how it can paralyze us.
Perhaps today is a good day to consider what we might be fearful of . . . and how we can turn our tricks (the ones we play on ourselves) into treats (enabling us to reach our goals, whatever they may be).
Wouldn't it be great to tackle one of the fears that's been holding us back?
I've decided that I'm going to do that. I want to have something special to be thankful for by the time Thanksgiving gets here.
