My Pedometer is up and running!

Thursday, October 31, 2013

I bought a new battery for my pedometer today; haven't used it in a while after the battery died I kept forgetting to replace it. I made it a priority and got it done today. emoticon

Anyone up for a step challenge? emoticon

My goal is to get 10000 per day. I'll try and get in at least 5000 and work my way up to my goal adding 1000 per week so by December 8th I'll be stepping 10000 per day (coincidentally that day will mark 3 months since I recommitted to spark people and changing my lifestyle).

All the best fellow sparkies let's make it happen! emoticon

Update: I got over 9000 steps on my first day back wow, my fitness level has improved. emoticon

November 6th 2013 - 2nd update emoticon my pedometer is malfunctioning; gonna have to buy a new one.

Nov 6: Great update! Good for you getting up to 9,000 steps already. emoticon
I went walking yesterday and saw a hawk, a white-tailed deer, and a gray squirrel that was completely black. Only 4,000 steps, though.

emoticon getting the battery and starting up again. I've been working my way up to 10,000 too. Haven't managed it every day, but coming along.

I rely on my pedometer for my incentive to walk 3 miles a day. I've said to MH that if its battery fails late one evening when I still have steps to do, I'll dash to the 24 hour store on the other side of town to buy another one. I couldn't be without my pedometer; NO WAY!!

Way to go! Walking is great exercise and great fun.

Unfortunately, I broke a toe several years ago, and the soreness from walking limits me to one or two walks per week. So, I regret that I can't join you. Anytime you want a swimming challenge - strap on your goggles and get wet!
