Dinner Success!

Thursday, October 31, 2013

Pork Marinara and Vegetables was a huge success! It was so delicious. We sat on our balcony and ate it with rice, while our dogs looks down on the street to see if any cats were around. Buster is especially funny, because we say "Where's the kitty?" and his head swivels back and forth like we see something he doesn't . When we walk, he looks for them, and when he sees them, he freezes in his tracks and stares. I am sure if they ran he would want to run too, but otherwise he has a staring contest. The cats aren't fans. We had lots of leftovers also, so I am glad it was a huge success. I haven't been so enthused about revisiting the ho-hum frittata I made the other day.

Last night, I also tried Hoopnotica, almost two months to the day from my birthday. This was a birthday present from my boyfriend. The concepts were a lot harder than I expected them to be, and I had to stop half way through the workout. I also haven't been getting my steps in, and I see some of my Fitbit friends passing me in steps. It is time to get back to it. I was at 7500 for a while. It is getting darker earlier, which makes it harder to walk the dogs longer distances, but I also am worried about losing my progress. I still have Zombies, Run that I can listen to on the treadmill, so I really have no excuse. Walking and being a consistent weight really helps me with my lower back and hip pain, which is part of the reason I am trying to be so diligent. Though, I think a small break now and then is okay.

Tonight, my goal is to get back on that treadmill. On my goal board, I have that I want to be walking 10,000 steps by the new year. Sitting on the couch watching TV is not going to help me accomplish this! I'm going to try and work in more Hoopnotica also, though I may need to memorize one of the concepts and go to a park and try it. The living room is pretty small.
