It's gearing up for the last day of the month, and a new month is just around the corner. I need to wrap up October, assess and revise for November. My October goals were to eat in my calorie range, earn daily fitness minutes and lose the finally 3 lbs to get to my first ten percent. In looking back at my monthly summary page, I didn't do so well with the calorie range 12/30 days. Some days, it seems my calorie range was to low. Fitness minutes is harder to gauge. I get fitness minutes for wearing my fitbit, even on the days when I skip the gym. I received the 1,500 fitness minutes trophy, but I know I have been sidelines with the cold since the 16, that's half the month. Weight wise, I actually went up in Weight, but I am refusing to record it until the cold, and the antibiotics and water gain are gone. I can do better in November. the November goals are to 1) earn a gold star for eating in my calorie range. 2) earn 90 fitness minutes a day, which should be 5,000 steps and going to the gym in the morning. all this should culminate in losing the final pounds to the much awaited first ten percent.
Today, I had an optical appointment. No diabetic damage to my eyes, but I am showing increased pressure. With a family history of glaucoma, this is not good news. And according to the doctor, there is not much I can do about it. Recheck in 6 weeks. then I had the quarterly dentist appointment. Good blood pressure 117/80, great teeth. Basically, no damage to the gums from diabetic concerns.
The rest of the day is mine. I'm going to clean house, pay bills, make something nice for Hannah and I for dinner, and finish reading my book. A total self care day.
