Recipe for Elephant Stew (for those who don't like turkey)

Wednesday, October 30, 2013

Just wanted to pass along an old family recipe just in case you are expecting a lot of spark friends over for Thanksgiving to meet your family.

You must start this recipe early due to how long it takes to cook. emoticon

Elephant Stew
1 medium size elephant
2 rabbits (optional)
enough water to make brown gravy

Cut elephant into bit-sized pieces; this should take about 1 month. Add enough water to make brown gravy. Cook over kerosene fire for about 4 weeks at 465 degrees. Serves 3,800 people (or 400 hundred hungry sparks people). If more guests are expected, add 2 rabbits. Add only if necessary. Most people don't like "hare" in their stew.

Check with Sparks Guy to assure the correct amount of calories per portion.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone! emoticon

I don't have any elephants where I live so I guess I can't do it. The cost of shipping one here is just too much LOL!

like Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre Foods emoticon

(a show, by the way, that I admit I cannot "stomach") :)
