Breakfast That Satisfies Under 400 calories

364 calories of intense flavor. It's not necessary to eat 3 sausages. Cooking just one not only costs $.20 for one (on sale) but it's only 80 calories.
Eat slowly, give thanks for your food that you've placed in front of yourself, and be joyful that you have the control, the will power, the determination to have just one. (every now and then)



In a teaspoon of olive oil, sautee ONE sausage, 1 garlic clove, and a small piece of jalapeno pepper to flavor the oil. Then whip ONE large egg in bowl with 4 tablsespoons fat-free milk to stretch the egg, and make it creamier. Cut the sausage and garlic clove into tiny pieces, add egg mixture and cover until egg sets. And I've added ONE slice of Pepperidge Farm whole wheat bread toasted without butter because the egg mixture and tomato are very moist.

It's the end of October, but I have tomatoes on the counter from the garden. I've brought in all the giant herb containers, and they are currently in the mudroom - uneffected by any chilling evening frosts. A fresh organic tomato and basil leaves add a delicous touch to this chilly morning menu.
