My baby (15 year old baby) left a few minutes ago to go to Louisville, KY with his FFA chapter. He's growing up and it's had me wondering where does the time go? The minutes turn into days, the days turn into weeks, the weeks turn into months, and the months turn into years.
A few short days ago, I started a commitment to myself. So far I've kept my commitment to myself to exercise at least 10 minutes each day and to track everything I eat. It is true that these days will too turn into weeks and then into months and then into years. I want to be able to look back on these days a year or even 10 years from now and know that in each of these days, I did what I knew I should do to make myself healthier. It helps me to know that the choices I make in the minutes of time, also turn into days, which turn into weeks, which turn into months, which turn into years, just the same way the time with my son has done. I don't have to make an overwhelming commitment for the next year or even the next month. Today, I am accountable ONLY for my choices today. I can and will make good choices today.
