Wonderful Fall Weather

Tuesday, October 29, 2013

The weather the past couple of days has been heavenly. Warmish (50's) and slightly breezy. I've biked home both days now and I have to say that I love riding home after work. Love it more than words can describe. Today I was in the zone. Those hills that used to trouble me no longer even cause a bump in my travels. I pondered them yesterday and I just can't figure out how they could have been so difficult even a month ago. Even the last hill, the one that used to make my heart almost beat out of my chest no longer bothers me. It does get my heart rate up a bit but I can still breathe when I reach the other side. I no longer feel like I'm going to keel over. I'm fitter. I'm happier. Biking has done that for me. Well, and walking too since I still love, love, love walking in the park or near my home. This weekend I'm going to try out a new route home just for fun. I'll drive it Friday just to check for lose dogs, unusual hills, holes, too much gravel, etc so I don't have an accident. Then Saturday morning I'll have DH drop me at school so I can pedal home this new way. I'm thinking it will be a nice diversion. It is a slightly longer route but on less traveled roads. I'm looking forward to it. Rain for the next two days (I'll walk home instead of biking). I have Friday off and then Saturday off I'll go!

What a fabulous plan. You are so enjoying your biking. It's great to hear. So many people exercise in a way that doesn't suit them.
