Sparked family

It's nice to be home again though there was a bit of cleaning up to do after our cats. They had fluffed all over the floor , so obviously if they were play wrestling they were happy enough.
All the while we unpacked & got the washing sorted out, they were following us about waiting for us to make laps so they could sit on them and get an attention top up. And of course they both had to get into the suitcase as we unpacked.
The chickens were fine and glad to be let out for a rummage about. They had laid a few eggs so we are lucky there, too.
We had a great little break, DSis & I even had a couple of exercise sessions together, we went for a long walk around Port Motueka with one of her friends who has a Labrador dog. That dog had one of the best days of her life because en route she found a plastic wrapped Dog roll that she would not relinquish, and who could blame her? She ate the whole thing plastic and all before she would proceed any further. We were all very happy for her good luck, and could not really blame her for refusing to give it up!
Then yesterday we went for a swim and sauna. Last time DS went it was when I was last there!
I was admiring the facility and telling DS about my pool, and showing her my swim goggles and talking about my program and how DH & i go together, when she said 'I think I might join again'. Then last night she said she and DH had joined up for a three month program and they were planning to go together as a date at least once a week, and individually when they wanted to.They had been admiring DH & I looking so healthy and showing off our muscles & talking about how much we enjoyed our fitness programmes & our fitness toys, the fitbits & bits & pieces. They hadn't seen us for a few months and I guess there was quite a difference. DN has just got to goal weight on the Cura and is looking lovely, too, & we were talking about how to maintain it.
Sparked sister & brother in law!

sounds like you have had a wonderful time and a very positive effect on your family! I love it when I can inspire others as that in turn inspires me more. Interesting how that works.

Anyway sounds like your animals missed you. I know when I come back from a trip my cat follows me around like a shadow.

I love dogs! Some neighbors found a litter of pups under her porch today and the mama dead on the road emoticon The pups are being fostered by a few great people while a nursing mama can be found.13 neglected chickens and a pot bellied pig were found along with a beautiful cat I named Flurry. She loves my daughter and gets so much attention! The pig was adopted by a farmer but the chickens are quarantined for the time being. We were able to clean them up and make sure the chicks are all ok.Some had motor oil on the feathers. Some people never fail to amaze me when they abandon pets with no food or water emoticon I have to grit my teeth to keep from screaming. emoticon emoticon SUSAN

I so wanted to be with you. What I great catch-up-blog. I feel like part of your family now. Thanks, Fifi!

I never had the desire to go to New Zealand, but I've been plotting a way to get my tight wad husband to go. I don't think it'll work if I tell him that we need to go to New Zealand so I can meet you, your husband and the chickens.
