I woke up early this morning to weigh in, and see if I was 198. I was 200.2 I went on my 45 minute walk, and then ate breakfast, Sparked, washed the dishes, Sparked, vacuumed the house, Sparked more, then threw out the trash, and walked down to mail my car payment, then Sparked some more.

I cooked up lunch, and weighed in again. 199.6 emoticon . I am going in the wrong direction! I was going to wait to change my weight, but this is 2 days at 199, so I think I can count it, and in a few days I will move away from 200, in the right direction.

my meals for today are:

B - 4 XL eggs, 2 Tbsp. salted butter

L - 3 chicken thighs, 1/2 can peas, 1/2 can tomatoes, 2 Tbsp. olive oil

D - 2 chicken thighs, 1/2 can tomatoes, 1 Tbsp olive oil.

My lunch was 824 calories, but I was pretty busy, and putting more oil in with the extra veggies seemed to hide the taste. All I have with Dinner is tomatoes, and a lot of oil makes it greasy.

This comes to 1,976 calories:

fat = 135 grams... 62.4%
carbs = 38 grams... 7.9%
protein = 144 grams... 29.7 %

I seem to be using the larger packages of chicken, to up my calories. The dishes seem small, and I just feel like eating more. I will probably have to divide a package to make 7 smaller chicken thighs this week,since that is what I have left, instead of 6. Some of the packages are 1.1 lbs, instead of 1.3 lbs.

According to common wisdom, if I am losing a lb a week, to stop that, I would have to eat another 500 calories a day, or 2500. If I need that to maintain at 164 lbs,, how much was I actually eating to maintain 361 lbs. ? Makes you think.. 5000? I can't imagine eating 2500 calories for the rest of my life on low carb, but obviously ate twice that in high carb with no problem, and still felt hungry. Maybe I will be able to avoid dropping below 164 at 2250 or so. My metabolism could slow down as I near goal weight, right?

I plan on taking a nap soon, or read my next Clive Cussler mystery. My brother is back to school for 8 hours today, and I forgot how boring it is here, since he has been home for 2 weeks. He gets home at 4, and I need to go buy 15 lbs of chicken thighs for the week, at the Amish store. Then I am waiting for Biggest Lower to start at 8, and then the Voice. I also got to cook some Dinner, but the rest of the day should be pretty laid back.

Hope everyone is doing well. Have a great day!

    Russell,
I am so glad about your progress and I have no doubt that you still have plenty of improvements coming your way.
I do have one question for you, something I've been wondering about for a while. I've read you saying several times that you don't want to lose too fast. I'm curious why you are concerned about this when you are not hungry as you get there. Also, what do you consider too fast? More than one pound a week? I always assumed that quick weight loss is only a problem if it is achieved by starving yourself while you are feeding your body very well.
I hope you get a chance to celebrate this milestone.
Cheers,
Birgit

    2 days below 200 is GOOD, give it time. I recall not long ago where the scale was up and down around 208 pounds and it was driving you mad. Keep at it and it will keep heading south. I wouldn't worry about what will happen when you hit 164, and how did you arrive at that number? Not 165, nor 163-

Earlier this summer you were recounting a typical day of eating (from your former life)
and it made me curious as to what I'd been eating so I sat there and logged it one day- I was SHOCKED at how much garbage, sugar, carbs and fat I was consuming. No wonder I was fat! I was younger and had a faster metabolism then or it could have been worse! Now if I tried to eat that much I'd be so sick!

You're doing great, keep at it!

    I have been here as you are now, but many times again and again and I know this; I know nothing! I am still figuring it all out. Oh I am so hoping this time it will take and I will succeed finally. I want that wonderful attitude you have and as well knowing what your needs are and maybe.
You sound calm and have a great plan and attitude.
I am trying to place myself in that state, of allowing myself to get over this hurdle once and for all. I have lost and regained 20 pounds when I reach this point. Losing 70 pounds and never getting to my goal. All of these years and I have not figured out why I do not allow myself this part of my journey. I know it has to be a mental block. But if a plan will carry me through this final 34 pounds, perhaps with a sustainable diet like LC I will be able to accomplish goal and maintenance once and for all.
I wish you the very best on your journey to goal. Continue to enjoy your life and your success, as you are doing it! You are owning your journey and this is a great thing.
Regards,
Erin
