After tracking for several months, I fully realize that I do better and feel better when I keep simple carbs like breads, pizza, etc, to a minimum. They are often triggers for a trip down "what else is there to eat" lane.
Friday was a bit hectic - straight after work I picked up G and dressed her and took her to the Main Street Halloween event downtown. Basically a safe trick-or-treat environment sponsored by the Downtown Merchants. Afterward, we picked up some pizza slices and headed home.
2 slices of pizza and a beer later - oh, yeah! carb heaven! - it was bed time.
Up early Saturday morning for hockey - I did great grabbing some lentils to heat up and eat on the way. But later that day, a very kind and thankful neighbor dropped off an apple bundt cake to thank DH for helping her with her new pellet heating stove. I managed to resist for Saturday. But Sunday was another thing all together. And then dinner out with DH's family for his sister's birthday.
I did manage to get good workouts in both Saturday and Sunday, but I am up 2 pounds. (Oh, did I forget to mention I had the apple bundt cake Sunday night and Monday morning too?) I'd like to blame it on pending TOM - but to be honest - it's the bundt cake.
So yesterday was back on track. I am ignoring the apple bundt cake while DH finishes it off. Good clean eating yesterday, today and going forward.
