Everyday Tasks

Tuesday, October 29, 2013

It's great to do extra healthy lifestyle stuff, like eating that extra piece of fruit or going to yoga class, but some days, it's all you can do to just complete your daily routine. My motivation is low; I just want to stay home on the couch with my birds, drink tea and vegetate. I think it's because fall has arrived; somehow, I just want to find a cave and hibernate.
I did make it to work yesterday, even though I really didn't want to, and without the kids there (it was a teacher work day), my classroom was freezing cold. Today is training day, which is even worse. I am soooo tempted to call in sick. Granted, it would actually be true, because my blood sugar seems to be high, which accounts for the sluggishness, but if I drink lots of water and move a bit, waiting for my meds to kick in, I should be better in an hour or two.
So my resolution for today is not a fancy workout or cooking a healthy recipe; it's just to make it through the workday.

Thank you all! I did make it through the day, but went home afterwards with a beginning migraine. So I'm just going to take it easy. The migraine meds will put me to sleep pretty soon.

Drinking lots of water and moving a bit is plenty!
(Now I have no excuse not to do it... thanks a lot!)

You know yourself best! Everyone needs a day like that, to regroup. Making it through the day and moving forward are part of it. Keep up the good work!

Good for you knowing and responding to how your body is feeling! Ups and downs are a normal part of living and you are the best judge of what your body and mind need for the day. I hope you get your energy back soon but until then, take care of yourself!
