I picked this book up - The Life You Want - in the dollar bargain bin last week. Right off the bat, Barrier #1 hit me right where I live. This year has been non-stop personal painful situations as it is, without the addl. discomfort of having to worry about my food intake. (so I thought)
"AVERSION TO DISCOMFORT AND PAIN" - Simply stated, we avoid the discomfort of feeling hungry and the pain of exercise. We humans tend to do the things that bring us comfort and happiness - like eating delicious food in abundance.
Changing the brain mapping of what we consider rewarding - like losing weight and feeling/looking better - takes time and helps make the weight loss journey easier.
Still trying to justify buying the SP tracker. But for $70 (tax and shipping), I really want to see numbers that don't rely on being connected to the computer to do so. If I didn't already have a FB (and enjoy it so much), it would be one thing.
