I was thinking this morning how much my outlook has changed this morning as I was putting in my order at Starbucks. I used to have a major addiction to Starbuck's lattes. Every day I would stop in and order a grande latte, with no thought to how many calories they contained. During the holiday's I would order their seasonal drinks with whipped cream on them, like "Pumpkin Spice lattes", or "Caramel Brulee Lattes", literally every day. I probably put on 20 pounds from Starbucks drinks alone.
After I got serious about getting myself healthy and losing weight, and I started tracking those Starbuck drinks, I couldn't believe how many calories they contained. I was astonished that my morning caffeine was so loaded with calories. I immediately downgraded to the "skinny", or non-fat versions of those drinks, and have now cut back to only one drink every couple of weeks.
This morning I went in for my every 2 week treat, and as I was ordering my "non-fat, no-whip, pumpkin spice latte", that I was immediately going to put in my tracker, I was thinking how times have changed from me going in there every day for my fix. The drinks really add up!
