I love SP, I just never have the time to play on here like I want to. Life is so busy, its just easy to use the tracker app (sometimes) and move on. I miss the community, I miss reading about everyones weight loss journey, so I really am going to try (this time) to commit to getting on SP regularly again.
Running has been going great. I have been meeting up with some running buddies and its kept me in the habit of going steady. My sister decided she wanted to take up running and has been running with me twice a week for nearly two months now. It has been a nice change to have someone to run next to. It definitely makes the runs go alot quicker, even though I still love my occasional solitary run.
I had originally planned to do a marathon in November, but I have realized that no matter how much I love running, I am not cut out to do 15 - 20 mile long runs in August and September when the weather is still 85 plus degrees outside with 90% humidity. It killed me... it made me miserable and I ultimately started to hate running. Unfortunately, summer does that to me every year. It doesnt matter what time of the day you run...its just TOO HOT AND HUMID. One of my friends is doing the Myrtle Beach Marathon in February, and I am thinking of doing it with her. Marathon training in the winter definitely sounds more like my thing.
Eating habits are still awful, but I started to clean my eating up yesterday and hope to have it back on track soon. My daughter and I have been so busy with her extra curriculars and mine, its just been to easy to order take out instead of cook. We both miss the healthier eating and cooking so we have both made the commitment to eat more at home and make the time for healthier meals.
Thats about it... nothing new or interesting going on at the moment... life continues to more forward.
