Aches, Pains and Pumpkin

I wouldn't say I get injured very often, but I do seem to have little aches and pains occur more than I would like. Yesterday at the start of BodyStep, my calf hurt as though the muscle had pulled. I kept up with the workout, skipping on the abs and cool down. I stayed off my leg most of the night and thankfully, it is feeling better this morning. Not 100%, but definitely better.

This morning I had pumpkin oatmeal for breakfast. I bought a can of pumpkin last week with the intention of having oatmeal every morning, but this is the first morning I made it happen. I make pumpkin oatmeal every fall... it's so good! Just mix in some pumpkin when the oatmeal is cooking on the stove and then add brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. It is a very filling breakfast -- I'm much more full than usual after breakfast!

It's probably best to have healing foods, as pumpkin probably is, to help repair my achy body. emoticon

    Sorry about the calf :( A cool down and stretch might have been useful. Glad its better this morning!
    I love pumpkin and the way you are using sounds fabulous! I am assuming the pumpkin you bought was natural, raw and not a pie mix one. I eat a ton of fruits and veggies and my favorites are in the orange colored family. Nothing beats baked sweet potato on a cold winter's day.
