It's Halloween Week.

I waited this year until this week to get the candy for the kids. I know last year I got my candy way too early and ended up having to buy more. It seems that many people have the same idea as me this year as there was still most of candy on the shelf left in two different stores I went to on Sunday.

Now I have candy in the house. I did not stop myself from opening the bags and we've all dug into them, probably a little too much, but I did get a lot of candy, so the few kids that do show up will get candy and little packages of Annie's graham bunnies.

Fortunately Halloween is on Thursday and I won't have too long to worry about candy binging. This time of year was so hard on me last year I had to do Spark's Official Tame Your Sweet Tooth challenge to get back to normal. I know that even if I do have a candy craze this week, I know how to get back off it next week. I won't be buying any more candy after the Halloween candy is gone so I'll be fine with my fruits and veggies again next week.

Surprisingly, I'm not having as much as I may have had at one point in my life. Yes, it's still more than I should have on a normal day, but not as much as I've been able to have in the past. At one time in my life I've been able to down a whole package of candies, whether it be Fun Size Snickers or the small bag M&M's. Now I feel sick from a few handfuls and put it down.

I'm just hoping that this doesn't bring me back into the obese category this week, but I know that I can get right back on track as soon as I want, which is fortunately fairly quickly.

I hope that this week doesn't throw off too many of you either. Let's get through the candy week quickly!

    For the first time in a long time the candy doesn't even appeal to me. It's not calling my name any more. My husband brought home King Size Tootsie Rolls (knowing how much I LOVE them), opened the package and set them down in plain site. Seems this time around I'm able to completely ignore them. It seems kind of weird though. In the past, they wouldn't have made it to halloween, but this year something's different and I don't know why. emoticon

    It won't because the amount of fruit I eat a day keeps those cravings in check. Fruit satisfies the body's need for sugar in a way that the body can use it.

    And, I don't have to re-lose the weight I've gained by indulging!

    I've also got the sweets ready for Thursday night and have put them in a bowl which is on the kitchen table.
    I have eaten a couple of pieces but that is all. Hopefully, the kids will take the rest!!

    I have no resistance to candy! If it is in the house I will eat it. It is almost like magic how candy jumps into my mouth!
    Needless to say, this is a difficult time of year for me! First Halloween, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas! Love the holidays, but hate what they do to my weight!

    emoticon I am glad that we don't give out Candy on Halloween, we haven't in several years. So there is No Reason for us to have Candy in the house --- Until the Christmas Candy goes on Sale, LOL!!
