There's something about not having to get up to go to work that just starts the day off right! I actually woke up when I usually do, opened the door so the dogs could go in and out of the doggie door, and went back to sleep for over an hour!
So when I got up, I had a cold breakfast so I could take advantage of the cool morning. Homemade banana nut bread with cream cheese - yum! And coffee....Let's not forget the coffee!
The morning walk was so nice! I wish I could walk every morning, but if I get up in time to walk, it's dark and not really safe, and my boss won't adjust my hours so I can come in later. I'll just have to deal with it. As it is now, I'm going to do whatever I can, while I can.
Remember the other day when I talked about the Mantis company? I dismantled my 2 cycle Mantis tiller today and boxed it up. Before I called the company, I left the box open just in case they needed me to put something else in there.
Now, let me preface this with the events of yesterday. Yesterday, I was at my friend, Tricia's house, with her brother and two other friends. I was telling them about sending my tiller back for a full refund and getting a new, better model for $100, and they couldn't believe a company would do this. They made me promise to report back and tell them what the catch was!
The woman I spoke to was great! She confirmed that yes, they refund the full purchase price, and pulled up my records. The made sure that I only wanted to return the tiller - the accessories were returnable, too, and I assured her I wanted to keep them for the new tiller, since they fit. She noted that I had also purchase a "Handy Item Kit" for the old tiller for $32.00, and even though it had been opened, told me to put it in the box with the tiller for a full refund so I could get another one (same price - some different stuff) for the new tiller! She then gave me a return number to put on the box and arranged for it to be picked up within three days. For free.....Amazing!
After that was taken care of, I went ahead and took advantage of their "4 payment" program - I made the first payment today, and will just pay it off when I get my refund! So my new 4 cycle tiller will be here on Friday! Woohoo! I'll be able to do some serious gardening this weekend!
By the time I got the tiller dismantle and packed up, and dealt with the Mantis company, it was almost time for me to pick up my son and go walk! What a great day! I got in my morning walk, got to enjoy my dogs and my back yard. Enjoyed my patio and my dogs' company while I dismantled and boxed the tiller up, and got another walk in before a dinner of leftover chicken with tomatoes, peppers and spaghetti!
Now, I'm going to take a bath, get a cold drink and relax a bit before bed!
