It's been a little while since I have blogged. I suppose it's time to get back to that!
So happy to be the Bright Star of the Day!!!!
I have an awesome team for the Fall 5% Challenge! Each and every member keeps me motivated to keep moving and doing my best!!!
The last couple weeks have been pretty good in my house! Been doing my best to eat good foods and limit the junk food. I have to say that I have been doing pretty good with this!
It's not easy since I am a self admitted potato chip-aholic!
We have been working to get the wood piled up, which has been a great way to add some exercise minutes! It's certainly not easy work piling wood but I do kind of enjoy it.
I was really shocked to see a 6 lb drop after my first week of the Fall 5% Challenge, but at the same time wasn't too surprised. I had been bloated on Saturday when I did my first weigh in from eating junk the night before and wasn't feeling all that well. I was sick in the week following and spent a few days not eating a whole lot. I was even more surprised, however, when I weighed in this past Saturday and was down yet another lb!!! I had expected to gain a little because of being sick through the first week and by the second week I was feeling better and back to eating food again. I guess that exercise I got piling wood really mattered!
I'm am currently doing my best to make the most of this third week!
Walked to deliver hubby his supper tonight and decided it was a good night to continue on down the road a bit and had a decent walk with my little guy and my dog. Too bad it started pouring shortly before we got back home! We were quite wet by the time we made it back to the yard but we had a good walk so I can't be too upset about it.
Next week I go back to work. My leave of absence has finally come to an end
I'll be working five, five hour shifts each week, which is a smaller workload than I had been working before my leave. Ease myself back into the work place and make sure I take the time to take care of myself so I don't end up losing control of things (my diabetes mainly) and needing more time off work to get things in order again.
That's about it! That's what's up with me lately! I will write more updates over the next few weeks to better track my progress!
