I have a rule: If you don't want to work out, just do it for five minutes. If I still hate it after five minutes, I can quit. Today, I quit.
It's windy. I live in a very windy place, so when I say "it's windy," I mean it is REALLY windy. I just checked in with the local weather station, and it's report says the wind is 30 mph with 39 mph gusts. The wind was at my back as I walked to the park, so while I felt it, I couldn't feel how bad it is.
And then I started to run, with the wind at my side. Ay carumba! I ran along the north side of the park, I could feel the wind blowing me around. By the time I made it to the east end of the park (about a block's distance), I decided to head home.
Walking home put me face-into the wind. I had to lean in to keep it from blowing me back, and even so, a few gusts almost knocked me over. That's windy!
But y'know, I woulda ridden my bike in this wind.
