Non Food ways of socialising and having treats

Hi everyone,

I have just started a new program called metabolic balance and it requires me to put 5 hours between meals and during that time to have only water. But what I am missing is the occasions I go to drink coffee with friends, so I am trying to find alternatives to socialise without food or coffee/tea.

So any suggestions?

This program also makes me realise how many times I use food to reward myself!!! ie if It has been a stressful day or if it has been a successful day. So I need to find other alternatives for that and all ideas would be gratefully received

Socialise around exercise. Go for a walk together and chat as you walk. Stop for a sit down and a chat, drink your water then.
Go for coffee, but you choose to drink hot water only.

Rewards, hmmm.Buy yourself flowers and enjoy arranging them in the vase. Destress with a self administered facial or manicure, let your skin soak up some luscious cream. Sit outside just being in nature. Swim or aquajog, you don't need to push yourself. Water is soothing...
