Today is one of my favourite days of the year and a very important one on my farm. It is the start of 'tupping' as we say locally - i.e. the day that the ram is put to our ewes.
The reason that I like this day so much is that, even though we are just heading into autumn, it is already a reminder that Spring will come again - that there will be new life, fresh grass and sunshine.
Now why is this important for Sparkpeople? - because I think we all have our dark, cold days to deal with, the ones where we don't want to exercise and just want to comfort eat and I find it reassuring to know that the dark days don't last forever, Spring will always come again - it is an inevitability.
