Personal November Challenges

So, I've stated my S.M.A.R.T. goals, which summarized means my target is to lose 30 pounds and get back down to 130 by our wedding anniversary on June 6, 2014. Now I need to put together a plan that will help me reach that target.

I've been looking through the various SP teams and challenges. There have been many team challenges that I have appreciated being involved in and I want to stay involved in. However, I feel like it would best benefit me in reaching this that I establish some personal challenges as well. In fact, as I studied various challenges I was drawn to the 30-day challenges. I realized that by doing a different challenge in an area every month, within a year I could achieve 12 improvements.

With that in mind, I have decided to focus on one improvement in four areas each month and establish a challenge for each. The four areas will be: spiritual, physical fitness, nutrition, and household. One specific challenge for each area each month. These would not only move me toward my S.M.A.R.T. goal target, but also help me to make steps forward in other areas of my life.

These are my November challenges:
Spiritual challenge - I've wanted to finish memorizing Galatians, so my challenge is to memorize at least four verses each week.
Physical fitness challenge - it has always been extremely difficult to do the plank exercise, so I have downloaded a 30-day plank challenge to follow and gradually build up my endurance.
Nutrition challenge - I am taking this from Skinny Rules with a challenge to eat at least 25 grams of fiber each day.
Household challenge - there is a strong possibility that we will be moving during November. This would be a good time to work on menu planning. So my challenge is to establish 5 weeks that can be rotated of healthy winter menus with grocery lists.

I am currently looking for a free on line calendar where I can track these challenges. If I can't find one, I'll print one and use stickers. I just want to be sure I keep myself accountable.

These personal challenges along with the team challenges have really motivated me for November! The next few days will give me opportunity for preparation and even a jump start!
