My family and I were at the farmer's market this morning and my mom texted me that she sent me a "prize" through my email. I couldn't imagine what that meant and it took a while for the email to come through. It winds up that she sent my husband and I a gift card for $100.00 to amazon.com as a Halloween present! Who gives Halloween presents, lol? Not that I'm complaining at all, I am very thankful. It was so random and my mom is the kind of person who will use any excuse to give someone a gift. She is awesome. So I told my husband to pick something he wants on amazon and I will get something I want as well. Normally, we would have spent it all on our daughter but my mom said she sent her something separate in the mail. I already knew what I wanted, in fact, I had just added it to my wish list a few days ago. I keep seeing all this talk about the fitbit and I found the fitbit zip had good reviews and was pretty affordable, and it comes in MAGENTA. You better believe I got a magenta fitbit zip. I am joining the skinny jeans challenge here on Spark for the month of November (spark has the calendar all set up and then members created a challenge on the cafe message board) and it is pretty exercise driven I believe. Between the added support from the member-driven challenge and the fitbit, I'm going to be all kinds of motivated. I'm super stoked.
I wound up a bit under 1200 cals today. See, we were really busy all day and when we finally got home, I made some chocolate chip cookies with my daughter. I ate two cookies and a smidge of cookie dough which I tracked as one full cookie. You'd think between that and having starbucks earlier that I would have hit 1200 today. However, I had a salad for lunch that consisted of lettuce and veggies with light dressing, and I had eaten the cookies right before my baked-potato-dinner so I was hardly even hungry and didn't finish my food. I actually tracked more than I ate and still wound up at 1130 calories. Here's the thing though, I'm really not hungry and I'm just plain tired. One day won't hurt being a little under, and it's not like I'm even that far under so it's fine.
I have so much cleaning to do around the house tomorrow, I don't even want to think about it. I just really hope my neighbors get over their nocturnal kick so I can get some good sleep for once! Every night there is either a group of kids playing basketball in the street at 3am, or someone is having a party with music blaring so loud you can hear it three blocks away. Tonight is a party night, as was last night. It's ridiculous, I tell you. Or maybe I'm just really uncool, but I do value my sleep and they should too!
Anyway, goodnight! Here's to a great tomorrow!!!!
