One pound is a start and as long as you keep on you weight lost journey you will get there. I started about three years ago I wanted to loose twenty pounds, I lost it but then I realize I have to go for another 20 lbs. I only lost four more lbs. since then I don't feel bad because everyone is asking me if I am still walking and I just say yes and they would say I can see it. I am not losing the pounds but my clothes are fitting bigger which is a good thing. emoticon

Doesn't it seem to be the way it is? I have noticed though when I gain after being so so good, the following week I lose more.

I needed that little bit of inspiration. I have gained a lot of weight since August and I get disappointed when I don't loose. But, your posters reminded me to be grateful even when I only loose a pound!

    still...
1 pound today, 1 pound tomorrow 100 pounds this year! ;)
don't let such things bring you down.
you're working hard, you're helping yourself, you're doing your best!
give yourself a hug.
focus on your new weight. this has helped me a lot. there was a time when i kept in my head that by the end of the week, i should have lost 2 pounds. every week. but life keeps going on. you go out to dinners, you have a bad day, a birthday person treats you with dessert... so sometimes the scale won't read 2 pounds. it will read 1. or even 0.5. BUT, it also doesn't read, say 250 pounds anymore. it reads 249! Focus on that. forget the numbers you have in your head, and just feel good that the new number is a smaller one. allow this change to make you happy.
now i don't care what the loss is. i'm just eager to read the new number. and i'm ecstatic each time i see it.
Hang in there, Slimmer-By-A_Pound! ;)

A pound is a pound. As long as you are following your program that is good. emoticon d. It is hard to remember that the scale only reveals a number. It is what we are doing to achieve the goals that count.

I have lost 95 pounds and sometimes it was one pound at a time If you are getting in lots of exercise muscle weighs more than fat so even if the scale says one pound you are looking better and when all is said and done you are doing great !!!
