My wife, who is NOT a morning person, had to get up early yesterday. She was stumbling groggily around the apartment. But then she looked out the window, ran for the camera, and snapped this picture.
Then she said, "I guess there are some reasons to get up early."
So I kissed her to give her another.
I had two non-scale victories this week that made me feel pretty good. The first was when I was walking around the campus where I work and someone, who knows me quite well but who hasn't seen me for six months, walked right by me without a word. He was ten feet past me when he called out, "Steve? Is that you? My goodness, you've lost so much weight, I didn't even recognize you. You look great."
Later in the week, my wife and I were at the grocery store and the person checking us out said, "Excuse me, but you've lost a lot of weight. You look great." I was astonished but managed to mumble "yes, thanks." As we left that store, my wife asked "Do you know that person?" and I answered truthfully, "No."
So I guess when even people you only see for a few minutes once or twice a week observe that you've really lost weight, it must be really noticeable.
These were great mood lifters for me, because I'm getting so close to 50 pounds lost, yet I seem to be in a little bit of plateau at the moment. But I know I'll get there. I know we can all get there. Spark on, friends.
