I’m really not sure what to blog about, and am hoping something will pop in my head as I type.
Weekday mornings I drive Trout Lake on my way to work. This is the same lake I photographed often when I worked in town and walked by it every day. It looked so peaceful one morning this week so I stopped to take a couple pictures.
Life has been overall very good lately, and for that, I am extremely grateful. There continue to be bumps in the road, but I am learning how to get over them and continue moving forward. Finding someone to travel the road of life with has made the bumps much easier to deal with.
It has been darn cold the past two weeks. October started out unseasonably warm but has sure been making up for that! Every morning this week I had to scrape frost off my windshield, and snow has fallen (no accumulation yet though). Right now the sun is shining, it’s 40 degrees outside and I am stuck indoors. It is a perfect afternoon for yard cleaning, moving summer tools to the back of the shed and winter tools to the front, or just taking a long walk. Predictions for tomorrow and Sunday are much cooler so I will be doing outdoor chores in a jacket and gloves. Hopefully the cold won’t deter my roofer from coming over and getting my new, metal roof on. My weekend exercise will be picking up roofing debris and throwing it in the trailer, some leaf raking and hopefully a nice, long walk with Mike and the dogs.
I would also like to finish the closet organization project I started last weekend – summer clothes to the back of the hall closet, mid-season clothes to the front and winter clothes in my bedroom closet (old house, small closets). I did get pretty far with the clothes but forgot about my shoes. It was pretty cold Monday morning when I got ready for work, and all I had out were sandals and walking shoes. I searched for a regular pair of shoes but gave up and wore black socks in a pair of black sandals – went better with my black dress pants rather than my white walking shoes. Mike and I have come a long way in unpacking his things but I have come to the conclusion that somehow my fall and winter footwear got buried in the shuffle. Hopefully they didn’t end up in the “rummage sale” area of the storage shed.
My weekend officially begins in five minutes! YIPPEE!!!
I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend!
