Back to SP finally! (lots of pics)

Friday, October 25, 2013

Hi there Sparkfriends!

This is my new wireless router and it should, hopefully, mark the end of my Internet woes!

I wish that after such a long absence from SP, I had a lot of things to tell you, tales of adventure and heroism and epicness... But I don't!! emoticon
Routine is indeed the name of the game in la casa de Sandra.

On the nutrition front, I am still following my 5:2 pattern and successfully so. Nowadays, I hardly ever struggle during my fast days, or skinny days as I like to call them. The only time I find it tough is if I don't drink enough during the day, which sometimes happens when we get extremely busy at work and it is one query after another.
But, I have lost another 400g in the last month despite the fact that I have been baking more often than usual (Great British Bake Off, I blame you!) emoticon emoticon

2 new recipes that my son and I have enjoyed lately:

Italian style stuffed aubergines:

Apricot and raisin couronne (made with enriched bread dough):

On the fitness front, I have been doing exactly the same as the past few months: Zumba/Bokwa + BodyPump and Body Balance. That's it! I suppose some would say it's a bit boring, but it's a fitness routine that I love and that suits me, so I don't think I'll be changing it anytime soon emoticon emoticon

I've been going through my wardrobe to get rid of clothes that are now too big and bring back to the fore clothes that had not seen the day of light for years! And because I seem to be enjoying a bit of silliness in my "old" age, here I am sporting my Snoopy top!! emoticon

I have also splashed a little money on a couple of new outfits and new shoes. And I did something that I would have never dared to do only a year ago: I would have never worn a pair of tight trousers/leggings with a short top. I would have had to wear a big, oversized and very long top (at least mid-thighs) over the leggings.
But I thought enough of that!! So here's my new favourite outfit: black leggings and stripy top (because I'm French!)

I also bought some new shoes. I went to the shop with the firm intention of buying a pair of "sensible" shoes... I came out with a pair of ankle boots, with sky-scraper heels and "rock-chick" studs!!! emoticon Sensible indeed! emoticon

I have also received my Holistic Nutrition diploma (I still need to buy a frame for it):

And decided to dye my hair darker than usual:

(The two events are not linked in any way!! emoticon )

And to finish, my son took a couple of pictures of Candy the Cat where she was trying her best to be cutest in the world emoticon

Next week is half-term and my son is on holiday, and so am I! I'll be so happy to spend a week away from the Library emoticon

Have a lovely weekend Sparkfriends! emoticon

Although you say not a lot happened, you have a lot of info in your blog! Glad you're back on the internet at home. It's crazy how attached we are to our technology- you don't realized it until you don't have the access!
If your workout routine is working for you, there is no reason to change it. And it shows- you look fantastic in your new outfits emoticon

Also, your kitty is super cute!

Quit the grains. But of course, the French in you won't let that happen.
