My Sweet Ginger

Friday, October 25, 2013

Almost all us have or have had pets we love. My sweet Ginger above is 10 1/2 now and I've found a lump that is cancer. Because of the location and her other health issues surgery is not in her best interests. So we will just treasure the time that she has left and hope that the cancer does not spread quickly, and that we can keep her comfortable and happy for as long as God blesses us with her.
I am savoring every belly rub, sloppy kiss, walk, and game of fetch with her. And I am finding that I am more conscious too of doing that with my husband and kids as well...treasuring and savoring the small moments together. Enjoying each day in the presence of each and every family member...human or canine!
I pray you will make time to do the same.

So very sorry for Ginger's diagnosis :( We lost our Bendix to cancer which took the formally big, strong dog's legs out from under him. But he still wanted to go right until the end :( Terrible disease. I hope you have many happy hours, days and weeks with Ginger!
