I did it! Yesterday, I ate enough of everything and stayed well within all my limits! That Greek Yogurt is an amazing thing. I had planned on having hummus instead but I would have come up short on protein and high on fat, so I switched it out and had an excellent food day.
I am super tired today. I didn't get enough sleep again. And yesterday was a busy and somewhat stressful day. I met with the contractor in the morning to get the work started on my boyfriend's house. That involved a walk through to show what we want done, then a shopping trip to buy all the supplies. I like to shop smart, stay on budget, but I am not at all knowledgeable about building supplies, doors, etc. so that was frustrating, I couldn't tell whether I was getting a good deal, or getting taken to the cleaners. It felt like a mixture of both.
Then there was an issue with the bank. They noticed some strange activity on the account and red flagged it as being potentially compromised. Instead of asking me, they spoke with my boyfriend. They told him a particular amount was being debited from the account every week in Grand Prairie, Alberta. He is working in St. Paul, Alberta. But instead of noticing that the amount was the very same as what he pays for rent every week, he freaked out and said he'd never been to Grand Prairie, someone else must have accessed the account! So the bank shut it down, moved the money to one of our other accounts. Meanwhile I'm at Home Hardware buying over a thousand dollars worth of building supplies, which I intend to pay for with the debit card for the now defunct account, none the wiser about what's been going on.
Luckily, the store's computers were down and they couldn't do debit or credit charges so I avoided fainting at the cash when it came up that there was insufficient funds. Being a small town, they told me to just come back and pay later when the computers were back online.
I discovered their was something wrong when I went to the cash machine at the bank to get some money as a down payment for the contractor. That was nerve racking! When it said I didn't have any money in there! I panicked because I was worried that someone had hacked in and taken everything. But then I met with the manager and she explained and I told her it was the rent and everything got put back right. Whew! But still, kinda stressful there for a bit.
And a little hilarious today as I look back on it. Poor guy worked all day thinking someone had stolen thousands of dollars from him
That'll teach him to listen to EVERYTHING that is being said!
Today, I'm off to a good start with eating and tracking. My energy is a little low because I'm sleepy, but hopefully I can turn that around, shake it off and wake up and have a productive day over all.
