I couldn't wait....

Friday, October 25, 2013

Until this was finished so I had to go ahead with out final pics and blog about this amazing recipe of apple butter a friend on here posted! I knew that apples were on sale for crazy cheap, So I thought, hey why not give it a go! my pics won't be as cool as hers are on her blog but I will share a little of the process here! So first you use several different varieties. Me? I used Gala, Braeburn, Fugi, and Granny Smith. Hey, they were on sale .77lb, forgetaboutit! I used an apple peeler corer slicer Oh and by I, I mean my husband. I couldn't find mine so I borrowed my moms. It pays for itself the first time. I think he did 11 apples in maybe 5 minutes! He had a blast! lol! Says we are going to go get a new one now! (pampered Chef and Bed bath and beyond I know both have them) I mixed up all the stuff and threw it in the crock, now it has filled my home with the most unbelievable aroma, worth it just for that! This is about 4-5 hours into the process . I have not finished it but I will try to get a pic of the final results for ya! So far, it was super easy so it seems too good to be true but if it is, wanna guess what people will be getting with gifts for Christmas? lol!!! This is also suger free!!! Made with splenda!! and splenda brown sugar so not completely sugar free but close! Will keep you posted!! Also, I challenged myself on the blc to make at least one heart healthy recipe and so this will be it! Wonder what all you can use it for????

Update* Here it is after it was all blended. took a teeny taste and it is soooooooooooo good!!!
