Truth -- beginning journey again

After several months of upheaval, finding a new place to live, being depressed, packing/moving and now unpacking, needing to look for work, still fighting depression, and not exercising or eating right.....I now weigh more than I did 7 years ago.

Weight stats:

December 2006 - weight 189 - started on Biggest Loser Club (left there to come to Spark)

March 2007 - weight 169 or so - started on (got down to 165 or so and kept that off til this year)

October 2013 - weight 194.8

Today while reading several blogs and postings on Spark, I came to realize that I need to do something positive for myself. And that is to get back on track and take this weight off. As it is affecting me on a daily basis.

Fitness stats:

Fitness minutes goal: 11,968 for the year
Actual minutes: 6,967 completed so far
Difference: 5,001 left to reach goal

Taking that 5,001 and dividing it by the 69 days left in the year = 72.5 minutes per day to meet that fitness goal.

I am going to take things one day at a time, but am going to strive to get as close to that Fitness Minutes Goal as I can by December 31st.

It's time for me to get back into the game of life and become the healthiest person I can be.


Drink 8 glasses of water each day

Cut out or down on the amount of sweet tea I drink when eating out

Cut down on eating out

Cook more at home, plan meals, shop for ingredients

Exercise at least 5x per week

Check in on Spark and the teams I belong to on a regular basis

Read uplifting blogs and posts to help me stay focused

Lose 10 lbs by December 31st - I believe I can accomplish this goal

UPDATE: We are unpacking and getting settled in the Austin, Texas area
