A poem I wrote & mask I made, while living in beautiful Sedona, AZ 7-21-2004 Photos

Thursday, October 24, 2013

(I'm not really sure this is of interest to anyone by me, but I felt with the comments you are giving me for the last 2 poems.... I thought I would share a piece of my past!)

The Sun rises in the Canyon of the Jacks. Horses of the Court, smiling regally, Clancydog, our court jester and ‘truck’ driving us over valleys of red rocks to the parking spot, he will watch over until Clancy and I return.

We hike on the Bald head of the earth, to win our gracious summering with the Queen of the Cathedrals, she asked for an audience today. We hike to her feet, bow and are wooed by her healing energy. Her request is for us to make our cross and tone the word at the creeks’ edge.

Three horses and two setters that are of Irish roots, arrive
and drink deep, of the healing sparkling waters from the canyon of the oaks.
A humming bird bee flies to us, and joins
us in song, as the tones radiate out through us,
vibrating a double rainbow breath.

This most sacred, magical place of Sedona, reminds me to be free and share my heart’s desires with all who are inspired to rejoice, on this warm summer day.

Inspired & written by Cathedral Rocks, off of Jack's Canyon dr.

This rock formation also inspired me to make a mask, CATHEDRAL ROCKS VORTEX GODDESS. I took a helicopter ride to get above this formation & include it in the mask. I never felt I was able to capture the mask in photos, but it was sure fun to make! 2006 The party I went to was pure magic! No really!

Although it is lovely to see these photographs of this area I question the necessity of them in accompaniment of this poem as your words describe this picture so very well already.

Those words you have written would make a superb back up to a short promotional film taken of this area - a combined package like this would be so very professional and would be truly stunning.

Thanks for pointing me in this direction as this was a blog I nearly missed.

This brings back great memories for me. My grandparents lived in Sedona and we would visit there almost every summer. That was the only way we got to see them. Of course, that was before it was a tourist spot. We would horseback ride through the area. It was and still is such a beautiful creation of God. Thanks for sharing the poem. emoticon
