Luzarches… will it rain?

Hello dear Sparkfriends,

I couldn’t go on a hike last weekend, and this weekend the weather forecast is awful. So I took the afternoon off today, hoping to avoid the rain (the weather forecast was ‘sunshine’, but honestly it was very very grey!).

I don’t usually do a hike twice, it bores me! I like to discover new places. I had done this hike in March, one year and a half ago, so it was very different… and I did the hike the other way around, and honestly hardly recognized anything! But Luzarches’ church is pretty unforgettable!

I wasn’t the only one to make the most of the fresh air today, I met about 5 or 6 people hiking or biking (it is rare on my hikes!). I forgot to say children are on holiday at the moment, so I guess most of the people I met were teachers… or people like me who needed a break! 

We haven’t had any frost yet, so there were even some flowers left…

And at times it almost felt like summer… especially as it was 20°C today (that is 68 F)!

I crossed several hamlets around Luzarches. The first one was Thimécourt.

Later, I walked by the old watermill of Hérivaux, built in 1213 and recently (heavily) renovated.

Then I crossed La Biche…

… and then Les Nonnains…

The trees have started to change colors, and in places it looked very nice…

It was mostly grey, which was fine as it didn’t rain…

… but a beautiful surprise was waiting for me when I left the woods…

… the bright blue sky promised by the weather forecast was finally here!!!

It felt so good!!!

The picture above is especially for _BABE_, who said once that she wished I would take pictures of myself on my hikes… Well, I very rarely do, because I look a mess on my hikes, haha!

The last part of the hike, in the sun between Les Nonnains and Luzarches, was really lovely. The area is hilly, and there are a couple of farms with horses and ponies…

Then, after one last turn…

… I saw Luzarches’ church appear through the foliage…

And, after 3 and a half hours, I was back at my car! Thank you so much for sharing my hike today! I hope it refreshed you like it did for me! emoticon

P.S. If you want to see what I saw in March 2012, here is the blog I wrote about it back then!
