So what happened to Halloween and Thanksgiving?

Thursday, October 24, 2013

Yesterday, I was buying Halloween candy for my office at CVS (yeah, yeah itís once a year, scold me later).

Anyway,I went down their Holiday Isle and found that all the Halloween decorations, costumes, make up, and candy was in the Clearance section, and they had moved in all their Christmas stuff. Including Christmas candy and cookies. (Personally, I donít think those cookies are going to be very fresh come Christmas.)

It was October 23, that was still 8 whole days until Halloween. We are now a full week away from Halloween. I havenít even bought my pumpkin yet or finished my costume.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't we a full 2 months away from Christmas?

And, again, unless I'm mistaken, there's another holiday between Halloween and Christmas...let's see what did they call's right on the tip of my tongue.... I know retailers don't really like it because there's not a lot of useless junk to sale....Oh yeah! Thanksgiving!!!!

WTF, chill out, slow down! Time is going by too quickly as it is, without all the stores trying to rush through the year.

Iím starting to understand the Grinchís point of view in the first half of that movie.

Lol. They should really just have year-round stores for everything.

It is amazing how early Christmas stuff starts to appear on the shelves. Personally, I have a strict "No Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving" policy at my house.
