Truthfully, I donít really have an issue with not exercising, or exercising too little. I have in the past, gone to the extreme of exercising too much, twice, sometimes 3xs a day. Iíve suffered some pretty severe injuries from not resting enough.
My issue is what I eatÖ I sometimes allow myself to think that running burns way more calories than it really does. When I first started running, the weight just fell off my body. But I had a very, very, very strict and limited calorie intake and it was new to my previously inactive body. Since I suffered an injury last year that basically left me crippled, I allowed myself to wallow in my emotions. And I fed & fed & fed those emotions. Now, here I am battling my way back from a 15lb weight gain and the struggle of breaking all those bad habits again.
Balance is what I need. Balance between healthy & unhealthy emotions. Balance between too much & too little exercise. Balance between healthy food and reasonable treats.
Iím on my way! I will continue on this tightrope journey Iím on.
