Ok, so I did my first training walk of my final training week last night. I was supposed to do 40 minutes. I walked 1.8 miles in 37 minutes, because by the time I made it back around the loop to my car it was dark. And the park closes at dark. So, I think that will be my last after-work pre 5k walk at the park. It's just getting dark too soon now.
And, it was cold, ya'll. By the time I was done, it was see-your-breath cold. My body was soo confused. It was like, "hey some physical exertion, let's sweat!... BUT IT'S COLD!"
I'll do another training walk this weekend, and the final one next Wednesday. Then that Saturday will be the 5K.
I used some moleskin on my feet last night and it seemed to keep the bad spots from getting any worse. I also didn't have any knee or hip issues, though my back was kind of angry once I got back to the house. I really need to do my yoga this weekend, because I know that will help.
