5. Take measurements. Measurements will provide another indicator of your progress. There were times when the scale was not showing a loss but when I took measurements I found I had lost inches. If I had not taken measurements I would have been discouraged.

This Quote is one that I actually do NOT do, unless I need new clothes and with clothing the way it is now, to know what size I wear in something I need to know measurements because of all the "vanity sizing" that goes on in the fashion industry. UGH...just more deception. I can look in the mirror and see what "size" I am no matter the number on the tag!

It is one thing that I should do more though!

Today is SO much better on the new start page...hoping we all get up and running like before with it! emoticon and blessings to you all! Have a emoticon day!

Measuring & weighing all foods is the only way that works for this gal.

God bless!

My mirror lies to me... measurements don't. So I *do* take measurements about once a month. They tell me that even if the number on the scale has stayed the same, I might be losing or gaining fitness... and that "fit" translates to the way the pants fit, too.

It can be confusing measuring - I figure my waist is the smallest part above my belly button. It was nice when sizes were more uniform.

Have a great day.

Very good! I should start measuring as I rely on the scale.

I, too, have trouble measuring. I get so frustrated when the tape slips. I also don't like what they call the natural waist. The waist to me will always be above what they show in the pictures. I hate the fit of the new pants with those lower waist bands. Guess I'm just getting old and cantankerous.

I find it hard to measure myself (LOL)...can't reach every spot. Thanks for the tip, Gaby
