This is the end of my 2 weeks of very low carb. I lost 19 lbs. in 14 days.

Today I am upping my carbs a bit. My meals for today are:

B - 4 eggs, 1 cup mushrooms, and 2 Tbsp. butter

L - 3 b/s chicken thighs, 2 Tbsp. olive oil, and 1/2 a can of tomatoes

D - 8 ozs ground beef ( 80/20 ), 1/2 can tomatoes, and 1/4 can chili beans.

This adds up to 1935 calories.

fat = 135 grams... 63.6 %
carbs = 44 grams... 9.3 %
protein = 130 grams... 27.1 %

I weighed in at 201.2 today, and thought about staying very low carb, since I am so close to Onederland, but hoping that if I do gain any, it is temporary. It is still just 44 grams of carbs, not like I am having pizza. I think I am close enough to still make it by Jan. 17th..lol. Oct. 25th would be better though. I don't want to just hit it because I am so low on carbs, and then have myself gain back over 200 again. Today, I had some headaches, and felt run down from eating this low for two weeks. It got me back into ketosis, but I feel better with 40-60 grams a day.

Since my brother is also doing low carb to get his gout ( maybe? ) under control, there are no foods to tempt me in the house, which will keep me on track. He is walking with a limp, and says he still has one sore spot, which sounds like gout, but there is no heat. It may still be a sprain, and after two weeks is feeling better. We should get bloodwork in a week or two. Till then, they have him on Allopurinol, and he is doing low carb. He plans to work the weekend, and go to school next week.

I did my 45 minute walk early this morning, since I woke up early. I slept 11 hours between yesterday afternoon, and last night, so I woke up at 6 a.m. My chest pain is still off and on, but now just an ache every so often. Probably fluid levels, which I struggle to keep up, due to the diuretic effect of very low carb. I am paying close attention to how many 20 oz waters I am drinking a day ( 5-6 ) today.Too much water, and I get shortness of breath, and too little, and I get dehydrated, which may be the cause of the chest pain.

Overall, we are doing much better. I plan to watch some TV.. Survivor, C.S.I., Bones, maybe the Mentalist, and then sleep 8 hours. Tomorrow, i need to go to doctor's to pay for my brother's visit. My debit card never works there, and I forgot to have a check, so i have to pay. Also someone there called me, and I have to find out why. I need to go to the bank to deposit enough money to pay off the last of this month's bills, and then we'll see what else we can do. I haven't been to a movie in months. My brother is feeling the need to go outside, which is usually of sign of getting better, which makes me happy.
