No leprechaun...

Wednesday, October 23, 2013

Cooper didn't want to walk today. I think our total mileage for the day was about 2 miles. It was wet and cold out. In fact, Cooper spent most of the day either in my lap or directly in front of the heater. Not that he is spoiled or anything. I took him out this evening and it was snowing. He was definitely unimpressed and did his business and turned right around and made a beeline for the door.

I got out for a short run, but found it to be really too cold for a tshirt. I need to get a long sleeved shirt to wear when I go out running. All my long sleeved shirts in my closet are cotton, and most are turtlenecks. They just don't work. I also got on the elliptical and did some yoga. So, despite Cooper being uncooperative I still kept my fitness streak alive another day. I wish it would stop raining though... and don't get me started on the snow! It isn't snowing enough to be pretty or functional, but just enough to be miserable. Pft!

Stopped at my parents' house and mom gave me an apple cider doughnut, which just happens to be one of my favorites. So... I stood there and ate it. LOL! Made a quick stop at the grocery store. I needed raspberries and herring. (Not to eat together, of course.) On the way out to my parents' house we saw a beautiful rainbow. It was bright all the way to the ground. But I didn't see a leprechaun or a pot of gold. I was gypped!

Good for you for keeping your streak going. I hate it when the weather is namby-pamby and the pups don't want to go out in it (me either)

The rainbow is the pot of gold! What a treat to see a rainbow when the weather is so goofy.

Totally gypped on the pot of gold! And I am so sorry that it is snowing up there right now. Friendship called and said they had a light dusting and I am laughing because my uncle just drove his new dually up to Cuba to show off! And he's NOT a snow person at all!!

But if it makes you feel any better, it is getting down to 42 on us here in northern Florida in the morning... that's our wake-up temperature. And it's a cold, wet 42. The dogs just came in... all jacked up from the cool weather... and are now piled on my bed and cold noses and feet are everywhere! I think I need to make a nose-muffler for the little boogers! Might have to make mom crochet one to see if it will work out! HAHA

Enjoy the dusting and I do hope it goes away and you see sunshine tomorrow... and no snow! Say hello to my friendly little town next time you get near there. Little bit of trivia: Before Friendship had its name changed, it was called Bloody Corners because of the brawls that would start at the Friendship Hotel and spill out into the street and no town police - just State Troopers to call and you KNOW no one was around by the time they arrived! Gotta love Western NY State. emoticon

sounds like it is time to get the pup a winter jacket for his walks.... temps here are staying just above freezing but it is dry and the sun is inviting, what gets to me is the wind.
