Monday was just another day at the gym. My schedule was supposed to be working the core and back and then a steady cardio for 20 min.
I started innocently with a 5 min warm up on the treadmill and something just sparked in me and said "why can't you do this today?" I started to run/walk till I saw '5.000" on the dashboard and immediately checked the time that says 44:18.
I was so happy with myself and I told myself again and again 'Yes, you can'. To be honest with you sparkies, I was really impressed for reasons I may not be able to point right now. My time was not very impressive but it was better than the first time at 44:51 and which I believe can only get better subsequently.
I love to have more and more virtual races to do as i continue in this journey.
While running, I was thinking about everything apart from the run. My thoughts wandered from the first 5K I did, to how much this weight-loss journey had improved my health, to the beauty I see in myself, to my sparkfriends, then this blog and then I eventually settled on my breathing and this is what pulled me through.
I love myself so much right now and really love what you sparkies are doing to me.
I cannot stop thinking about you guys despite you are mostly "virtual", lol. Do not mind my joke, sparkies are the most real friendship I have had in a long while. See my pics after the race.
