Leaves, leave!!!! I can see we will be mowing the lawn in the snow again this year. I mulch everything, never bag a leaf or anything organic, so we use my tractor to mow and mulch at the same time.. still will not turn furnace on, have to go get that filter from HVAC place first. I have a high end air filter an humidifier on my furnace/AC, so I need to get it and install it before I fire up the furnace. With our asthma and allergies, it is just as important as heat all winter.
The first time I pulled that big accordian filter out and saw the dust, dirt, etc on those gabillion panels, I about fainted!! No wonder we were always sick with my old furnace!!

I hope that those who already are living and/or traveling in the snowy areas, have taken the time to tune up, fill car fluids, check battery, tires, etc .. Getting stranded and covered by snowplow snow can be deadly!! Around here, we have huge (ten-fifteen foot)high ditches and a few times people have slid off the road into them and been buried by snow and have not been found for days or a week!!

I think I may start the 'ol vacation countdown ticker soon.Yes, that is how much I hate autumn and winter!

There are some super deep ravines on this road. Some cars have gone off the gravel road but in areas that were safer. If someone ditched in a ravine, they might not be found for a long time unless family reported them missing. No guard rails. Not my favorite country road. I don't even want to think about snow.

Up by Crater Lake they have poles 10 - 15' high with reflectors on them along side the roads so the plows know where to go.

All done except - I over shot the Runway the other day - I had my Moms Hibiscus Tree in my Car - sticking out of the Sun Roof to bring in for the winter . Anyway I was more concerned with the Tree than I was with the front of the Camry when I pulled into the Garage and redesigned the Front Bumper - $$it !! The Tree is great Blooming like Crazy !! lol - I have been cleaning leaves by my Moms for a month now ?? Nothing yet over here at my house - but we did get the Furnace on its Chilly today - Hug's K

Hope it doesn't get too terribly cold before you have the chance to get your filter! We're fortunate and never need to use heat. It gets bitter cold here, but we're on the 2nd floor, smushed in between 1 and 3, and it NEVER gets cold in the apartment.

Have a great evening!

No lawn here. We all have rocks for our yards. No snow either. This is why I love living in the desert. But all that autumn and winter stuff....lawn care, raking, snow blowing...can burn calories!! emoticon
