Getting Into a Rhythm

Wednesday, October 23, 2013

I have not missed a day of exercise since the new 5% challenge began on October 12. I have done at least 30 minutes a day and usually I do a lot more. I am even making myself get up early to get it done if I have showings.

I have decided that , before I do any work, my work out will get done or I will walk while I work. I discovered that one watching The Good Wife. There was an attorney whose desk was over her treadmill. I don't have that, but I do have a wireless keyboard and I didn't see any reason why I couldn't respond to e-mails etc while I was walking.

I am working really hard at just keeping a momentum going with everything. I do what I need to do for work and get in my exercise and I am starting to make better decisions when we eat out. I have also learned never to finish the entire meal. I have decided it is ok to taste a little bit of things. For example, last night we went out and ordered baked onion soup. We split it among 4 of us. A bowl of onion soup is not a lot for 4 people.

I am working hard to keep peace in my life and be content with what I am doing. I got one of the listings so far that I was trying for. I think I will get the other two. I am not going to stress about it.

I got out to the barn yesterday and JC was Mr. Mellow. Actually, he was Mr Mud! He has this thing of rolling in the mud, but only on one side. He was covered literally from his left side of his face all the way down his left leg and left side to his butt. He even had mud in his left ear. Then he managed to mix burrs with that mud. My arms are sore from getting all of that off of him especially because he has his winter coat now. It was a mess.

The scale was down today and, of course, that made me happy. I'm starting over again, but I can get back down to the 160's. I was so close and I blew it. Nothing I can do about that now, but keep up a healthy journey!

Great job on your exercise streak. I've still be struggling with trying to get myself going. I need to figure it out or I'm going to GAIN 5%, not the other way around.

Just think of cleaning JC as a little extra cardio. Sorry you had to do that before you could ride though.
