OMGosh today's workout was SO hard. I mean they're always very challenging but today I was just plain drained. I was slower than usual. And the squats, oh my, I could barely cope. My friend Moon was all like, "Pam! You didn't yell, you must be rocking the legs today." I was all like, "it was internal. I think I'm bleeding now."

Then there were planks. SheilaV made us do full side planks....duh duh dummmm...ONE legged. I may have fallen. Twice.

I could barely get my shower in this morning. I wasn't starving but my body was telling me to eat something (and I did have a very healthy breakfast, per my usual. It's always easiest to start the day off right -- it's later on that I have to really pay attention). SO back to nourishing my body...I fixed myself a small apple with peanut butter and a nice big mug of miso (mugomiso, it's fun to say. Try it.) I don't have a lot of groceries on hand so I simply heated up some vegetable stock and dissolved 2 T of miso in it. Warm and yummy. All along with a tall pint of water with lime.

I'm feeling better now.

Speaking of food and cravings, yesterday I really wanted some chocolate chip pumpkin muffins. They're really good but I don't like to bake at home because I work at home and every time I walk by the kitchen, I'm going to want a muffin. I'll eat like 10 in 2 days. The Walrus doesn't understand this. He's just like- 'just don't eat more than one.' I don't know how to make him understand. I'm going to make them for Wonder Boy's gymnastics teachers next week so I'll be able to eat one and give the rest away.

But how did I satisfy yesterday's craving anyway? I found a recipe for a single serving peanut butter cup. That'll do. I saw it on a FB post from He and She Eat Clean. It's only 3 ingredients. And as always, I try to pick the best, cleanest ingredients I can find. Just what I craved and at one serving and nothing to have sitting in my kitchen, it was a winner. And oh-so-yummy.

(I recommend forgoing the microwave though. Not a fan.)

Tomorrow, I'll have an easy, short run. Friday I will rest and Saturday I race.

Peace, light, and love.

What a great decision! I'm so proud of you. And it seems like your exercise is really going great guns. I think that's where I'm falling down right now. Not pushing myself and the less I push, the more comfortable I am not pushing. Good to read about the better way to move. Enjoy the rest of your week!

Looks yummy but I think I will just eat two T natural peanut butter in one hand and one Midnight revere dark chocolate square in the other. emoticon
