Blood pressure

Wednesday, October 23, 2013

Took my blood pressure last night in the pharmacy. I was ok until I started reading what was high, normal, low. I could feel my anxiety start to rise. Gah, why does that happen to me. Thoughts start racing through my head. What if I don't get a good mark on this test? Why isn't it lower? Why am I stressing about this?

You're stressing cause you're human and give a hoot about your health I think. I've been talking with a doctor and Pediatrician and both have assured me that we all have spikes and anomalies. They are concerned if it's consistently high when you are at rest and at ease. You got this. And you're not alone. Sounds like you and I react in similar ways to similar triggers. At least it's nice to know I'm not alone lol.

It's okay. If you're blood pressure is a little up, there are plenty of ways to get it down. Exercise, meditation, losing weight. lower salt level and medication are the ones I think of offhand. It is a number that you don't want to keep creeping up. Glenn
