Seven Days - Tales from 100# down.

Tuesday, October 22, 2013

I weigh in on Wednesdays. I have for over three years now. I always step on the scales the morning before to see how I'm doing. This morning was another 0.2 morning. Now it may be a tad more by dawn but it won't be some HUGE number. While I'm happy with my slow but steady progress (121 pounds down) there are times I wish I could have just ONE nice week. Ha!

I do think our bodies get in "ruts" and I think my body has adatped to what I'm "throwing at it" so I'm going to change things up a bit this week and see if it makes a difference.

Here is my plan for SEVEN days!

1) Limit my calories from sugar.
2) Eat a minimum of three servings of vegetables a day.
3) Strive to hit my 40/30/30 ratios daily.
4) Do H.I.I.T. during my cardio rather than stay at the same pace for longer sessions.
5) Work on my sleep. (Sleep Study later this week to adjust my bi-pap).
6) Continue to be active and sit less during the day.
7) Consciously work on my sodium intake.

I sure would like to see a loss above a 1/2 pound for ONE week. Maybe next week will be the one!

Pressing On!

Can't wait to hear if you're a One! I love your steps for shaking it up. My co-worker read an article that people who fidget and can't sit still burn more calories.

So shake a leg! emoticon

If you learn nothing else from SP, it's that change is good. Changing things up worked for me and it will work for you!

I can't tell you how often I would see a 0.2 or so loss for the week. I never let it deter me from my reaching for that goal of mine. As I tell everyone those ounces add up to pounds as you so well know. Keep up the great job you do especially with your blogs!

121 lbs. WOW!!! AMAZING!!! GOOD GOING!!! That's some major weight and then some. You go girl, and keep it up!!! Yes our bodies can get in a rut, and mine was called a plateau, for 2 weeks. I didn't give it a second thought, when I check my measurements and felt the way my clothes were looser and I had great stamina when it came to exercising. I'm able to go longer and my form isn't always good, as I wear a 15 lbs. tank on my back. In spite of all these things that are going on in and with my body, I've persevered, and I've come out as PURE GOLD, by GOD's Grace, and He will continually refine me, until till kingdom comes!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!

Be blessed,

- Nancy Jean -

I so understand the need to see a more impressive number, so I'll cheer you on to reach it with the tweaks you've listed here.

But I also must cheer the .2 you've achieved this week. After all, you didn't get to 121 down by losing 1/2 lb (or more) every week. You got there .2 at a time week after week after week after week.

And that is a monumentally impressive feat. GREAT JOB!

You hit your goals "spot on" Suzanne. Look at the 120#'s that are gone. We all hit those nasty Plateaus...You have the right mindset.....You just need a "fine tuning" like when you go into Firestone with your car for a Tune-Up.
The next seven days with your plan of attack will bring you good results. emoticon emoticon PRESS ON!!!!
