Did Not Make It Through Day Five

Tuesday, October 22, 2013

I did not make it through day five. I had a coffee tonight to help me to get through class and to be able to drive home late at night. I had been awake since 4:30am. I left work and headed to school with every intention of getting through the evening without coffee, but by the time I finished the hour long commute to school I was feeling the fatigue. I had my first coffee since Thursday night tonight and I have to admit that I am glad that I did it. I still don't know how to maintain my present schedule without the caffeine. Five days is still pretty darn good considering how much I was depending on it before I decided to take a break. Hopefully, I can be caffeine free once again tomorrow. I am not giving up.

PS My Dr told me that a cup or 2 of coffee each day is not gonna make any difference. . . . unless you've got some major issue..... is this something YOU decided or your Dr advised you on????

5 days is amazing when trying to break such an addictive and yummy habit. I also cut back on coffee, due to ulcers. It is sooo hard. So, congrats on five days and good luck to more.

It I a god victory that you use it a lot less . just start again and only use it when it is an emergency. I have gone about a month . once in a while I have decaf, only pumpkin because I love it so much. Monday at a diner with my mom I asked for pumpkin decaf and she said she didn't have any but could do a half and half big mistake . Not only could I not taste the pumpkin but the coffee gave me jitters for the rest of the day. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Just remember its not about being perfect, its about being in control :D 5 days is wonderful work, and the commitment to keep it up is more important than one coffee. Like all other things in life, moderation is key.
